The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event La Tranjurassienne is a 70km long-distance race in freestyle technique and takes place this Sunday, February 13, in the Jura Mountains, France.
La Transju is one of France’s references for long-distance cross-country skiing events. Each edition gathers nearly 4500 participants in the Jura Mountains, from Pro Tour athletes to recreational skiers, for a weekend of sport and entertainment.
The event celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2019, and 2022 can confirm its position as a major nordic skiing competition. The 70km course in skating technique, between Lamoura and Val de Mouthe (Chaux Neuve), at the heart of Bourgogne Franche-Comté region, passes by postcard scenery and enjoys a festive atmosphere in the villages crossed by the race.
La Transju also offers classic technique events on Saturday – La Transju Classic 50km, La Transju Classic 25km and La Transju Experience Classic 20km; and freestyle technique events on Sunday – La Transju Marathon Skating 50km, La Transju Skating 25km, and La Transju Experience Skating 20km.
