The Norwegian Pro Team, Team NTNUI Sweco, consists of nine Pro athletes for season XI.
“We have some new exciting athletes that we are really looking forward to seeing what they can perform,” says Pro Team Director Matias Noren.
The abbreviation NTNU stands for Norwegian University of Science and Technology. The I stand for “idrettslag” which means sports team. SWECO is a European engineering consultancy company.
“All Pro Team athletes’ study at NTNU in Trondheim. The new signing Ingvild Bratli won the Budor race 2020, while Olaf Talmo has several podium places in the Norwegian junior cup,” Matias Noren informs.
“Season XI is our third season as a Pro Team in Visma Ski Classics. We have put two good seasons behind us and will build on the success in the coming season. The team was the first pure student team in Visma Ski Classics, and we have the ambition to show that it is possible to combine university studies and sports at the top level,” Noren continues.
The training season has gone very well for the Pro Team athletes. Together with NTNUI Cross Country, they have done many good sessions together in the Trondheim area. Several of the athletes have trained more than ever, and the test results have been good.
“We look forward to showing ourselves in Visma Ski Classics this winter,” Noren ends.
