Team Burger King Northug - Pro Team presentation Season XVI

This Norwegian Pro Team is gearing up for its third season in Ski Classics. After securing the 15th position in the Pro Team ranking during Season XV, the former Team Janteloppet, now Team Burger King Northug, looks forward to the final part of the winter season with a revamped team.

The now Team Burger King Northug was founded two seasons ago by Petter Northug after announcing his serious comeback to the professional rankings. Northug is one of the greatest cross-country ski legends, winning 13 World Championships and two Winter Olympic gold medals, with 20 medals overall.

Team Burger King Northug counts on local Norwegian power and some Italian touch with one Pro Team athlete from Central Europe.

For the remaining part of Ski Classics Season XVI, the team is bringing seven Pro Team athletes, three women and four men: Alessia De Zolt (1999), Kamilla Lukkari (NOR), Katrine Seim (1998), Petter Northug (1986), Even Northug (1995), Joar Thele (1993), and Leopold Strand (2007).

According to the Pro Team, "Team Burger King Northug aims to be the leading and most prominent team in Ski Classics," and sheds some insight into the team's goals for the Ski Classics Season XVI: "The team's highlights this year will be Marcialonga, Vasaloppet, and Birken."

Currently, all the team's athletes are registered to Marcialonga, Gronklitt 61, Gronklitt ITT, Vasaloppet, Birkebeinerrennet, and Marcialonga Bodo.
