After the Grönklitt Classic and ITT last weekend, there were many changes in the SC Ranking. Still, Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, leads the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance skiers.

Emil Persson started Season XV on top of the SC Ranking with 26.400.000 points. After the double Ski Classics Pro Tour events in Sweden – Grönklitt Classic and Grönklitt ITT, the Swedish Pro Team athlete keeps the lead, now with 26.192.911 points.

In the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance cross-country skiers, Emil Persson is followed by Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, in second place, with 25.577.121 points. Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, is now in third place with 25.506.972 points.

Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, is the new top 4, with 25.469.885 points. Axel Jutterström, Team Eksjöhus, is stepping up from 12^th to 10^th position, with 23.729.274 points.

Among the Top 10, four Pro Team athletes are from Sweden, and six are from Norway.

Top 20
Notable in the top 20 is that Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Eksjöhus, is moving up from 18^th to 17^th place. Also, Torleif Syrstad, Lager 157 Ski Team, made a step up from 20^th to 18^th place after Grönklitt.

Athletes stepping up inside the top 50: Stian Hoelgaard, Team Aker Dæhlie (from 22^nd to 21^st); Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team (from 25^th to 22^nd); Thomas Bing, eD system Silvini Team (from 26^th to 25^th); and Torgeir Sulen Hovland, Team Ragde Charge (from 28^th to 27^th); Thomas Joly, Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso (from 33^rd to 28^th) and Jeremy Royer, Team Nordic Expérience (from 31^st to 29^th).

Moving up also Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Ragde Charge (from 43^rd to 31^st); Einar Kalland-Olsen, Exsitec Ski Team (from 34^th to 32^nd); Alfred Buskqvist, Team Ramudden (from 37^th to 34^th); Kati Roivas, Team Eksjöhus (from 38^th to 36^th); Jenny Larsson, Team Ragde Charge (from 40^th to 39^th); Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team (from 42^nd to 41^st); Fabián Štoček, Vltava Fund Ski Team (from 44^th to 43^rd); Petter Northug, Team Janteloppet (from 48^th to 47^th); and Sofie Elebro, Team Eksjöhus (from 49^th to 48^th).

The SC Ranking points are calculated on the percentual time as the skier is behind the winning time in their gender with an exponential drop of points. This makes it possible to create one single ranking for both women and men, professional and recreational skiers.

Each skier can include results from their best 12 races within 24 months. The woman or man with the most points will have the #1 rank. In a Ski Classics Pro Tour event, the winning woman and man receive 2.000.000 points; in a Challengers event, the winners collect 500.000 points.

For the Pro Team athletes, Podium Bonus Points are also awarded to the top three skiers in each gender. A Pro Tour event winner gets 200.000 points, 2nd place brings 100.000 points, and 3rd place awards 40.000 points.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, recreational and professional skiers can connect their profile to the Ski Classics results database, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when registering as a member of the Ski Classics online community ProXCskiing.com. Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XV

The Season XV of Ski Classics Pro Tour consists of 15 events on 11 event weekends in 6 different countries. The season started in Bad Gastein, Austria, on December 9, 2023, and will end in Norway with the 100km Ski Classics Grand Finale Janteloppet on April 13, 2024.

Next up is Vasaloppet in Sweden on March 3, 2024. The event marks the eleventh Ski Classics Pro Tour stage and the third Grand Classics event of Season XV.
