This German Pro Team is gearing up for its second season in Ski Classics. After securing the 33rd position in the Pro Team ranking during Season XIV, the squad is now looking forward to the upcoming winter season and promoting the beautiful Sauerland region.
The Bruse Sauerland Ski Team is a Pro Team based on the Sauerland Skiteam, which was established in the summer of 2018 to create a platform for skiers from the Sauerland region in western Germany and other countries who all share the passion for long-distance skiing.

“The home of our team is the Sauerland – a region in the heart of western Germany with a long tradition in cross-country skiing, and show that there is also a lively cross-country skiing community away from southern Germany,” says Pro Team Director Lennert Versen and adds:
“With some talented new additions to our squad, we are confident that we can grow and become Germany’s leading long-distance skiing team in the long term. Our goal is to form a team with German athletes and skiers from other countries, e.g., Sweden and Norway, who all share our passion for cross-country skiing and aspire to develop as far as possible alongside their full-time jobs.”
Versen also shares his thoughts about the upcoming Ski Classics Season XV: “We want our Pro Team to be special and serve as a platform for skiers to become good long-distance skiers. The quite experienced core of athletes we have already formed will be the perfect starting point to serve this purpose and generate further growth. We want to take part in every race during winter and take a better place in the Pro Team ranking at the end of the season.”
Maintaining their commitment to promoting the beautiful Sauerland region with its great training opportunities for cross-country skiing all year round, the Bruse Sauerland Ski Team looks forward to a continued chapter of development for the team and its talented athletes.
