Saturday, August 10, it’s time for Vaajmarathon 2024. The Ski Classics Challengers event is a 42-kilometer long-distance roller ski race in classic technique and brings Pro Tour athletes and recreational long-distance cross-country skiers to the start line on the Swedish-Norwegian border.

Vaajmarathon – Ski Classics Challengers
Vaajmarathon is a unique roller ski race that crosses the Swedish-Norwegian border. The 42-km event is part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit and a seeding race for Vasaloppet.
Celebrating the sixth edition in 2024, Vaajmarathon takes place in the beautiful area of Hotagen, only 100km from Östersund. The race starts in Mebygda, Norway, and the organizers invite both professional and recreational skiers to a roller ski event crossing the Norwegian-Swedish border to finish in Rötviken, Sweden.
According to the Local Organizing Committee, Vaajmarathon is Sweden’s most beautiful roller ski race. It inspires an active life and shows the possibility of roller skiing in a unique environment with a course close to the mountains and beautiful scenery.
