As we are now enjoying the last days of the spring and getting ready to greet the warmth of the summer, Visma Ski Classics pro teams are finalizing their team line-ups and summer plans. Many of them are about to start their first dryland training camps, and one of those pro teams is the Swedish outfit Team Ramudden, 6th in the pro team competition this season.
The team is built around Lina Korsgren, the winner of Vasaloppet in 2018, whose success was quite phenomenal last winter as she finished 4th in the overall Hertz Champion competition, won Jizerska 50 and finished 2nd three times.
But she is not the only one aiming high in the team since Olof Jonsson scored points in the sprint competition and finished 5th. Max Novak managed to get a couple of top 30 places during the season, and the youth is the key word for Team Ramudden when the 10th anniversary season kicks off in Livigno at the end of November.
”Our plans are starting to fall in place,” the team’s captain and the Pro team Director of the Year nominee Gustaf Korsgren says enthusiastically. “Actually, we have already booked almost all accommodations and tickets for the season to come.
We will have pretty much the same members as last year, with some small changes. The biggest is that we will have three athletes aiming for the pink jersey! Also for the green one, at least for a day!”
The team will do some roller-ski races over the summer and use them as a key part of their summer training, and they have several training camps scheduled in their calendar. Together with their title sponsor they are looking for ways to get Norwegian skiers in their ranks, and they are accepting tips and applications from anyone thinking he or she could be the one with great potential.
