From southern to northern Finland, Teemu Virtanen's roller ski adventure, Hanko - Utsjoki, is now on the eighth day out of ten. Today he travels from Rovaniemi to Sodankylä and is joined by Pro Team athletes Ari Luusua and Isac Holmström.
Yesterday, Virtanen roller skied 120 km between Kemi and Rovaniemi with an average of 3.04/km. We will see what the speed will be today when has company from two strong Finnish long distance skiers, Ari Luusua and Isac Holmström. Luusua who will represent the new Swedish Pro Team, Team Eksjöhus, with Oskar Svärd as Pro Team manager in Season XII.
If all goes well, Virtanen will arrive in Finland's northernmost village, Utsjoki, on Saturday. Friday's stage will go from Sodankylä to Inari and the last stage from Inari to Utsjoki.
