The German Pro Team, Team Zipps, consists of five Pro athletes for season XI.
Team Zipps is looking forward to their premiere season as a Pro Team in Visma Ski Classics.
“Our main goal is to encourage and guide German talents to race against the best long distance skiers,” says Pro Team Director and Pro Team athlete Andreas Tannert.
“For our young athletes, we hope for good results in Vasaloppet and collecting points in the Pro Tour. For our staff and older athletes, including myself, we try to get more professional in ski and material preparation,” Tannert continues.
Like many teams and athletes, Team Zipps has had a different and challenging pre-season.
“Our summer was not so easy; quarantine, bone fracture and so on; from now there is only one way - snow and better times, says Tannert.
“Becoming part of Visma Ski Classics represents the next step in developing Team Zipps. Our main goal is to encourage and guide German talents to race against the best long distance skiers, which is crucial to growing as skiers and persons. We want to show that German long distance skiing is so much more than just living in the Alps,” Tannert ends.
