The Norwegian Pro Team, Team Kaffebryggeriet, consists of seven Pro athletes for season XI.
“We aim to take our first individual victory, fight to keep at least one of the bibs from season X and finish among the top five in the Team competition,” says Pro Team Director and Pro Team Athlete Vetle Thyli.
In season X, Morten Eide Pedersen won the Climb competition and Stian Berg won the Sprint competition. Pedersen has now left the team for Team Nordic Athlete, but the goal for Team Kaffebryggeriet is still to keep at least one of the bibs when season XI is summed up.
Vetle himself had a great season X with five races where he finished top ten. Now he aims for an individual victory. Last winter Vetle was stumbling close to the podium when he finished fourth at La Venosta and Kaiser Maximilian Lauf.
“Taking a victory is important to me. I wish to be on the podium in a race early in season XI. When I have done that, I want to win,” he says.
The team has had a good summer and autumn in terms of training. However, the new acquisition from Team Ragde Eiendom, Thea Krokan Murud, broke a rib this summer. Thea who was third in the Youth competition in season X.
“For Thea, we have to be realistic. She has not been able to train so much on roller skis yet. It is from the competitions in January that we expect her to be able to perform on her best level,” says Vetle.
A new woman in the team is also Oda Nerdrum and together with Thea, Team Kaffebryggeriet now has strong ladies.
“It feels so good that we finally have strong ladies in the team,” Vetle states.
In early November, the team will go on snow.
“It will be in Sjusjøen or Trysil. We will see where the best conditions are,” Vetle concludes.
