The Russian Pro Team, Russian Winter Team, consists of ten Pro athletes for season XI.
“We have big hopes in the Pro Team competition and also aiming for several podium places among both men and women,” says Pro Team Director Andrey Tyuterev.
“We will try to wear the different colored bibs in many races but at the moment there is a lot of questions regarding restrictions due to covid-19. This allow us not to approve our plan 100%,” Tyuterev continues.
Russian Winter Team has lots of strong athletes. For example, in season X Ermil Vokuev did an impressive race when he was winning ahead of Petter Eliassen in La Venosta. Anastasia Vlasova showed her capacity when she won the sprint for third place in Toblach-Cortina and Alexey Shemiakin finished strong when he was third in La Diagonela.
For season XI Russian Winter Team have two new young Pro Team athletes; 24 years old Dina Nekrasova and 25 years old Dmitrii Bagrashov.
“I hope they can show that they have a good level. The eight other athletes are known from season X. Each of them showed their desire to fight for the podium and the colored bibs. Every one of them planes to start more in more Visma Ski Classics races in season XI. We really hope that we can implement this plan, says Tyuterev and continues;
“We just started skiing on snow in Tyumen. After this camp we hope that we will receive all the papers and permits for leaving Russia and entering Europe. Then we will be able to concentrate on races and results.
