Team Eksjöhus’ director and three time-Vasaloppet winner Oskar Svärd is very happy with his new recruit Eric Rosjö who finished third in the 15 km classic race at the Swedish Season Premiere in Gällivare.
“He is in Svenska Spel, a national team for challengers, and his main focus is on the upcoming Olympics, but he will race for us in some Pro Tour stages this winter. With his 18th place at Vasaloppet, we find him very interesting for the future,” Svärd says about his new team member.
Team had a training camp in Vålådalen this month where they were able to finish good training sessions and test skis in various conditions.
“The training goes well with the team, and since we are a totally new team, the build-up takes time. I’ve been gradually setting up the organization around the team. I’m glad that it’s now done, and we are ready for the winter. We have the experience and knowledge within the crew now,” Svärd continues.
He is also very satisfied with this team season opening races in Sweden and Norway.
“Both Gällivare and Beitostølen went well for us. Especially, Linn Sömskar performed extremely well, but both Axel Jutterström and Morten Eide Pedersen were great as well.”
Team Eksjöhus will be a force to be reckoned with when Season XII kicks off in Orsa, Sweden, just before Christmas.
