Team Ragde Charge strengthens the Pro Team for Season XVI. The Swedish Olympic and World Championship winner in cross-country skiing and biathlete Stina Nilsson is switching sports to long-distance skiing, joining the Norwegian Pro Team, and entering the world of Ski Classics.
Ski Classics Season XV is over, and Team Ragde Charge is already preparing for the upcoming Season XVI. In a press release today, the Norwegian Pro Team announced that Stina Nilsson is joining their ranks.

It was surprising when Stina Nilsson, who has won five Olympic and seven World Championships medals, quit (traditional) cross-country skiing and focused on biathlon in 2020. Now, she’s making a new change and following a long-time dream of winning Vasaloppet.”
Stina Nilsson was focusing on biathlon for the past few seasons but is now taking a north to long-distance skiing and Ski Classics.
“I feel I’ve reached my potential in biathlon. I’ve always been fascinated and inspired by long-distance skiing and Vasaloppet. When the Aukland brothers with Team Ragde Charge contacted me, I knew that YES, I want to do this,” says Stina Nilsson, who has signed a two-year deal with the team.
Team Ragde Charge is owned by Jørgen and Anders Aukland, who have been great Ski Classics Pro Team athletes.
“Stina has an imposing background. She is experienced, physically fit, and tactically strong. We want to do everything we can to help Stina achieve her potential in Ski Classics, where Vasaloppet is the big goal,” says Jørgen Aukland.
Pro Team Director Magnar Dalen also commented about Stina Nilsson:
“We must use the summer and fall to step up the double poling and arm strengthening. The level among the best women in Ski Classics is sky-high, and Stina has a job to do.”
The skier will be an important addition to Team Ragde Charge’s women’s team. This year, Team Ragde Charge has dominated Ski Classics for men, with long-distance skiing stars such as Johan Hoel, Kasper Stadaas, and Andreas Nygaard.
