The spotlight of the Ski Classics Season XV now turns towards Scandinavia, as the ski destination Orsa Grönklitt hosts the following events of the Pro Tour. Featuring a thrilling back-to-back weekend of racing, the Grönklitt Classic and Grönklitt ITT are set to showcase the talent of the Pro Teams and their athletes.
After eight stages, the Ski Classics Pro Tour starts its final part of the season in the same venue where the Grönklitt Criterium and ITT were held last season.
On Saturday, February 17, the weekend starts with the Grönklitt Classic. The ninth event in Season XV is a 50-kilometer long-distance race offering stunning scenery. The Grönklitt Classic is a mass-start race that will feature a challenging course.
The following day, Sunday, February 18, marks the continuation of the weekend with the Grönklitt ITT, the tenth event in Season XV. Pro Team athletes will embark on a 12-kilometer battle against the clock, venturing through the idyllic Swedish forests close to small lakes and captivating landscapes. Notably, this remarkable setting is located just a half-hour drive from the iconic finish line of Vasaloppet.
“Another double-event weekend full of action as we head north to the Scandinavian part of Season XV. The events in Orsa Grönklitt are always exciting and often with sprint finishes!” says Ski Classics Sports Director Anton Karlsson.
