The Norwegian has completed ten years as a World Cup skier, with, among other results, two relay victories and six individual podium finishes, one Olympic Games, and two World Championships.
After four years as a coach for the new talents under the Norwegian National Team, Marthe will now lead Team Eksjöhus in pursuing continued top positions in Ski Classics.
“First of all, I am very happy and proud to have been asked (for the position). It feels both like an exciting and nice challenge to work with Team Eksjöhus and their strong skiers,” says Kristoffersen in a press release.
“Although there are differences between traditional and long-distance skiers, there are also many similarities, and the physiological part is the same. There is a lot I can take with me from both my active career and the four years I have worked as a coach. I love challenges and hope to be able to contribute to becoming one of the best teams in the World.”
Pro Team Director Espen Träldal, who until today has been Sports Director, is delighted to have Marthe on the team.
“She is a fantastic driven person who is modern in her leadership, possesses enormous knowledge and experience, and brings a wonderful culture to our team. We have the same thoughts about what it takes to build an even stronger team. When the team gets stronger, so do the individuals,” says Träldal in the press release.
“We grow and develop every year, and now we are restructuring; Marthe controls the sporting side, and I can focus even more on the organizational side and our current and future partners.”
