Four names are nominated for the Visma Ski Classics Pro Team Director of the Season award in Season XI.
Årefjällsloppet 100 km on Saturday, March 27, will end the Visma Ski Classics Season XI and the winners of all competitions will be awarded after the final event. One of the categories is the Pro Team Director of the Season, an award that is rewarded to elevate the hard work behind each Pro Team and Pro Team athlete.
Four Pro Team Directors have been nominated for the award and all of them have demonstrated extraordinary directorial skills, unwavering dedication, and unconditional love for skiing. This during a more challenging season the ever before.
“Behind each athlete there is a team and a Pro Team Director who do an incredible job to make the skiers successful. In addition to coaching; finances, partners, logistics, and personnel issues must be handled, as well as the growing need for a presence in social media and communication,” says David Nilsson, Visma Ski Classics CEO.
The person who receives the award is automatically elected to the Visma Ski Classics Hall of Fame, together with the Visma Ski Classics Legends, the athletes who have won five events or more.

Mart Kevin Põlluste - Team Nordic Jobs Worldwide
Maxime Grenard - Team Décathlon Expérience
Maxime has worked hard to build the new French Pro Team, promote the sport in France, and invest in French skiers. The Pro Team has participated in all competitions in a tough, challenging season. Roxane Lacroix has had her best season so far placed top-ten four times and fighting for a top-eight position in the Champion competition.
Andrey Tyuterev - Russian Winter Team
Andrey has continued to build the team and promote the sport in Russia in a good way. The entire Pro Team has had an even season with lots of great performances and with Ermil Vokuev’s victory in Toblach-Cortina as icing on the cake. Ermil is fighting for the overall victory in the Climb competition, while Anastasia Rygalina has a chance to finish top-three in the Youth competition.
Gustaf Korsgren - Team Ramudden
Gustaf has invested in young skiers and has built a very optimistic team spirit during a few years. In front of season XI, the team took another innovative step bringing in Mattias Reck, a professional cycling coach to further enhance their physical and tactical skills which definitely paid off. The Pro Team athletes have made fantastic achievements during season with Lina Korsgren’s five victories and podium places for both Ida Dahl and Jenny Larsson. Lina has already secured the Champion bib and Lina, Jenny, Max and Johannes are in the top of the Youth competitions.
Mart Kevin Põlluste - Team Nordic Jobs Worldwide
Mart Kevin has built his own team, the first Estonian long-distance skiing team, together with the Pro Team’s main sponsor. The team has taken part in most event and fights for a top-20 position in the Pro Team Competition during their first season. Mart Kevin has high goals for the team and works hard with building awareness for both the team and the sport in social media.
The winner will be announced after the season final event Årefjällsloppet the upcoming Saturday.
