Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, takes over the lead in the SC ranking, the global ranking system for long distance skiers, after the weekends to events, Vålådalsrennet and Tåssåsen Criterium 64 powered by Visma.
Korsgren is followed by Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel of Norway, in second place and Oskar Kardin, Team Ragde Eiendom, in third position.
After her third and first place this weekend, Korsgren now tops the SC Ranking with 30,407,992 points. Lina Korsgren has already secured her victory in the Champion competition ahead of the final event Season XI, Årefjällsloppet 100 km, on Saturday, March 27. Lina Korsgren has had an incredible season with the following placements: 2,1,1,1,1,3,1.
Tord Asle Gjerdalen is now in second place in the SC ranking with 30,010,063 followed by Oskar Kardin with 29,644,672 points.
We can see the weekend’s double winner Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, climbs to the fifth position among the top ten athletes. Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Eiendom, steps up to eighth place, and Vetle Thyli, Team Kaffebryggeriet, is number ten after the Sunday race.
Notable in the top 20 is that Marcus Johansson, Lager 157 Ski Team, moves up from 18th to 12th place, Alexis Jeannerod, Team Decathlon Experiénce, steps up from 16th to 14th and Emilie Fleten, Team Koteng, goes from 22nd to 15th after her finishing in second place in both races this weekend. Also Ari Luusua (23-17), Vltava Fund Ski Team and Andreas Holmberg (20-18, Lager 157 Ski Team, moves up. Also notable is that Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, is now out of the top 20. She drops from 13th to 21th after not competing on Saturday and finishing fourth on Sunday.
Athletes among the top 50 taking big steps after the weekend are Maxim Vylegshanin, Russian Winter Team (44-32), Mauro Brigadoi, Sottozero Trentino Team Zorzi Max (51-41), Viktor Mäenpää, Team Nordic Athlete (55-44) and Nils Persson, Team Engcon (57-46).
If we look in the ranking list, between 50 and 100, we first see that Ermil Vokuev, Russian Winter Team, drops from 37th to 53rd because he didn’t have the possibility to attend the races this weekend. Moving up ten positions or more is Johan Lövgren, Team Curira (65-54), Arnaud du Pasquier, Team Féclaz Formation (75-61), Francesco Ferrari, Sottozero Trentino Team Zorzi Max (73-63), Thomas Ødegaarden, Team XPND Fuel of Norway (76-65), Alexey Shemiakin, Russian Winter Team (84-67), Herman Paus, Team Ramudden (87-73), Gabriel Höjlind, Team Engcon (86-75), Paul Combey, Team Féclaz Formation (100-81), Hannes Mäenpää, Team Nordic Athlete (95-83), Stefano Mich, Team Futura Trentino Alta Quota (106-89), Michal Sedláček, Silvini Madshus Team (108-91), Nils-Ingar Aadne, Team Kaffebryggeriet (104-93), Thomas Joly, Team Decathlon Experiénce (107-95), Dmitriy Bagrashov, Russian Winter Team (112-97), Klara Moravcová, Slavia Pojišťovna Sport Team (115-98), Andrew Musgrave, Team Koteng (144-99) and Ricardo Mich, Team Futura Trentino Alta Quota (126-100).
