Originally planned to be a 52km race in Högbo, Sweden, Bessemerloppet was reallocated to Harsa (Järvsö) in Hälsingland, Sweden and carried out today with 3 laps of 14.5km in a total of 43.5km in classic technique.
Weather conditions were not an obstacle to perform an action-packed Visma Ski Classics Challengers event and the big winners of Bessemerloppet were Pro Tour athlete Laila Kveli, Team Engcon and Gabriel Höjlind, IFK Mora SK.
In the women’s race, with a total time of 2:22:04.2, Pro Tour athlete Laila Kveli, Team Engcon, did not give any chances to the opponents and finished first with more than 7 minutes in front of the second place Annika Löfström, Årsunda IF and more than 11 minutes in front of third place Olivia Hansson, Karlslunds IF SF.
The action in the men’s event was intense until the final meters of the race. With a total time of 2:08:39.0, Gabriel Höjlind, IFK Mora SK became the winner, followed by Pro Tour athlete Ludwig Tärning, Team Serneke in second place and Tom Fahlén, Landsbro IF SK in third place.
