Lager 157, a Swedish clothing chain with stores in Sweden and Norway, has been the main sponsor of the Lager 157 Ski Team since May 2014. It is now clear that the company will be behind the team also in the future.
"On our part, this is a long-term investment in cross-country skiing where the team is our flagship, and the investment falls well in line with what we stand for," says the owner and founder of Lager 157, Stefan Palm.
The Lager 157 Ski Team has now started the seventh season with Lager 157 as the main sponsor.
"Working with Lager 157 during all these years and further into the future gives us a very nice base and stability in our long-term investment," says Lager 157 Ski Team's Pro Team Director Anton Järnberg.
The owner and founder of Lager 157, Stefan Palm, has been highly involved in the team ever since its beginning and does not see the end of this commitment despite the difficult times the world is currently in because of the COVID-19 crisis.
"For each passing year, both we and the team will be stronger and equally so our cooperation," comments Palm.
Canceling or reducing the engagement as a result of the current crisis is not in Palm's mind.
"Sometimes you have to face tough times and then you have to relate to it, but we see it as a very important part of not being panic-stricken but trying to see opportunities in it. We focus on developing together to achieve our high goals," Palm continues.
The team's other major partner that has been with the company since the start is a Swedish timber company, Moelven Skog, and that cooperation continues as well.
"We have been with the team since the beginning and it is an incredibly fun trip to see the team grow and take steps all the time and we look at this in the long term and are in the middle of a contract period," says Moelven Skog's CEO Björn Johansson.
With these two strong players in the back, Lager 157 Ski Team looks very positive for the future. They are also at the end of the phase with several exciting collaborations with suppliers that they believe in very much and hope to present soon. Lager 157 Ski Team also plans to start their training camp season for the athletes in mid-May.
