The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Furusjøen Rundt-rennet, took place today with a 45km race in classic technique in Kvam, Norway.
At the end of the day, the Visma Ski Classics Challengers event saw Karoline Simpson-Larsen, Team Elon Vest, and Amund Riege, Team Rustad IL Oslo, win the race with solo breakaways.
In the women’s race, Karoline Simpson-Larsen, Team Elon Vest, won with a time of 2:18:57.0, almost three minutes ahead of Maren Engeskaug Nielsen, Team Driv Trening, in second place. Ingvild Bratlie, Team Rustad IL Oslo, completed the podium in the third position.
In the men’s competition, Pro Tour skiers dominated the podium. The winner was Amund Riege, Team Rustad IL Oslo, with a time of 1:57:09.6, followed by Hans Petter Rolke, Team NTNUI Sweco, 57 seconds behind, and Olaf Talmo, Team NTNUI Sweco, in the third position.
As Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet is a Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
