The legendary long distance skier from Sweden Jerry Ahrlin, three-time Marcialonga winner and four-time Vasaloppet podium skier, has formed a new Pro Team called Team Engcon. Together with the title sponsor Ahrlin has managed to put together a professional ski team with its base locations in Strömsund and Östersund.
Ahrlin’s squad is the first team to have one of the leading athletes in paraskiing, Zebastian Modin, and the two-time Vasaloppet winner Laila Kveli continues her long career wearing the team’s colors. Ahrlin will also participate in three races in Season X; Kaiser Maximilian Lauf, Vasaloppet and Ylläs-Levi. The fourth member in the pro team is Magnus Näslund.
Team Engron wants fight for the podium in the women’s competition at every race, but they also want to attract as many recreational skiers as possible from the sponsor company. Their grand goal is to be a pioneer in parasport skiing and create a link between pro skiers and recreational skiers.
