Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race, a long-distance skiing event, becomes part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit with a 42-kilometer race in Bodø, Norway.
Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race is a long-distance event, taking place for the first time in Bodø, Norway, and already joining the Ski Classics Challengers circuit for the upcoming edition on March 9, 2024.
The Local Organizing Committee is pleased to be joining the Ski Classics Challengers circuit:
"Our vision is to establish the world's most spectacular ski marathon, and we are very excited to collaborate with Ski Classics to make the Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race even more attractive."
"In Bodø, we have the mountains and the sea, the northern lights, and a local population that is at the top of the world when it comes to creating atmosphere at sporting events," says Skjalg Dreyer, General Manager for Marcialonga Arctic Race Norway.
Ski Party
The Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race will be a ski festival from March 7-11, 2004, with several events in addition to the long-distance race on Saturday, March 9.
"The aim is to use the existing trail network in the area. At the same time, we want to place the start and finish in the center of Bodø. We want the race to be a public festival where everyone can participate, not just the skiing elite but also children and young people, the public, and businesses. This will be a ski party, where we showcase Norway and Northern Norway at its very best and most beautiful," says Dreyer.
