On Saturday, August 22, the 42-kilometer-long Merino Muster will take place at Snow Farm NZ in Wanaka. The event is a long-distance skiing competition celebrating the annual mustering of the Merino sheep from the high country, and this year it is once again part of the Ski Classics Challengers series.
Set across the rolling terrain of the Mt. Pisa range, the Merino Muster takes skiers through one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most scenic cross-country venues. Snow Farm NZ, New Zealand’s home of cross-country skiing, provides the backdrop for this bucket-list event that draws competitors from across the globe.
