The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event La Savoyarde Ekosport took place today with a 42km race in freestyle technique in La Feclaz, France.
The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event saw Thomas Chambellant, CS La Feclaz/Feclaz Formation Longue Distance, and Marion Colin, CS La Feclaz, win the French race with superior performances.
In the men’s competition, the winner was Thomas Chambellant, CS La Feclaz/Feclaz Formation Longue Distance, with a time of 1:42:54.0. Cyril Gaillard, SA Meaudrais/Team Vercors, sprinted for second place, 1 second behind. Simon Vuillet, SC Grandvaux/Feclaz Formation Longue Distance, completed the podium in the third position, 31 seconds back.
In the women’s race, Marion Colin, CS La Feclaz, with a time of 1:59:49.0, won ahead of Oceane Bepoix, SMBM/Morbier, in second place and 18 seconds behind. Amelie Suiffet, CS La Feclaz, finished in third place, 51 seconds back.
As La Savoyarde Ekosport is a Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
