The Ski Classics Challengers event, Flyktningerennet, took place this Saturday with a 44km long-distance skiing race in classic technique crossing the Norwegian-Swedish border. Check out the results.
The Ski Classics Challengers event crossing the Norwegian-Swedish border from Sandvika, Norway, to Gäddede, Sweden, Flyktningerennet, saw a fierce fight for the podium places. Konrad Mattsson Myhr, Åsarna IK, and Tale Bruheim Breding, Henning Skilag/Team Elon Midt-Norge, won their respective races with solid performances.
Flyktningerennet – 44km Men’s Race
In the men’s competition, the winner was Konrad Mattsson Myhr, Åsarna IK, with a total time of 1:57:12.0.
Johannes Sivertsen, Leirådal Idrettslag, finished in second place, 2:36.7 back, followed by Sindre Bjørnestad Skar, Bærums Verk Hauger Idrettsforening, 3:35.8 back, completing the podium in third place.

- Johannes Sivertsen, Leirådal Idrettsla, +2:36.7

Flyktningerennet – 44km Women’s Race
In the women’s event, the winner, Tale Bruheim Breding, Henning Skilag/Team Elon Midt-Norge, completed the race in a time of 2:16:47.0 in a solo breakaway.
Trude Nonstad Fornes, Ranheim SK/Bane NOR BIL, finished in second place, 5:31.3 behind, followed by Camilla Brørs, Team Sport 1 Lillehammer/Beitstad IL, completing the podium in third position and 5:34.7 back.

As the 44km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
