Ski Classics Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja on Sunday, March 29, 2026, will mark the end of Ski Classics Season XVII. Four Pro Team Directors have been nominated for the prestigious Pro Team Director of the Season award.
The award recognizes Pro Team Directors with extraordinary directorial skills, unwavering dedication, and unconditional passion for Ski Classics, playing a key role in developing the sport and elevating the Ski Classics Pro Tour series.
“The 29 Pro Team Directors play a vital role, often working behind the scenes, to help their athletes reach peak performance while also driving the development of the sport. The Pro Team Director of the Season Award is not simply awarded to the director of the top-performing team, but to those who have made a meaningful impact over the course of the season. For Season XVII, all four nominees stand out as deserving contenders,” says Oskar Svärd, Director of Ski Classics.
The Pro Team Director who receives the award is automatically inducted into the Ski Classics Hall of Fame, together with the Ski Classics Legends, the athletes who have won five or more Ski Classics Pro Tour events. The winner will be announced after the season’s final event, Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja, on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Jørgen Ulvang – Team Engcon
Jørgen Ulvang has shown exceptional leadership in elevating Team Engcon during Season XVII. His skill in refining race strategies, combined with a strong grasp of athlete management and training, has been instrumental in the team’s impressive results. Ulvang’s focus on innovation, teamwork, and especially each individual athlete has been central to reinforcing Team Engcon’s position within the Pro Tour.
Chris Jespersen – Team Aker Dæhlie
Chris Andre Jespersen has brought valuable experience and a clear philosophy to his role as Pro Team Director of Team Aker Dæhlie. Drawing on a lifetime in skiing, he focuses on guiding athletes with practical insight, particularly when it comes to training and technique. Jespersen’s emphasis on simplicity, believing that “easy is good enough,” has been central in helping his team develop and perform at a high level throughout the season.
Simon Jonsson – Ski Team Göhlins
Simon Jonsson has guided Ski Team Göhlins with commitment and a strong sense of direction. Throughout the season, the team has taken notable steps forward, demonstrating both resilience and consistent performances across multiple events. Jonsson’s keen eye for detail, along with his ability to motivate and support his athletes, has been a key factor in the team’s development and played a big role in achieving exceptional results in Orsa Grönklitt this season.
Bruno Debertolis – Team Robinson Trentino
Bruno Debertolis adds extensive experience to Team Robinson Trentino, with a passion for the sport that clearly shapes his leadership style. His work in building a versatile and competitive lineup, combined with his commitment to supporting athletes at every level, has established the team as a strong contender in the Pro Tour. Debertolis’ strategic approach and dedication have played a key role in the team’s impressive performances throughout the season.
