Alutaguse Maraton is a 45km long-distance ski race in classic technique and Estonia’s first Ski Classics Challengers event.
The event has over 20 years of experience and is one of the most significant cross-country skiing events in the Baltics. Every year, approximately 800 skiers from around the World come to the beautiful surroundings of the Alutaguse National Park in Vasavere, Estonia, to take part in the Alutaguse Maraton.
Alutaguse Maraton is a two-day event, and in addition to the 45km main race on Sunday, a Ski Classics Challengers event, there are also 10km and 24km events for women and 10km and 24km night races on Saturday, a kids race (500m and 2km), and a 24km classic technique race on Sunday.

Ski Classics Challengers
As the Alutaguse Maraton 45km race in classic technique is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for the 2025/2026 season can be found on the Ski Classics website. The list is updated continuously with new events.
Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour, or Challengers events, as well as professional and recreational skiers, can connect their profile to Ski Classics’ results database, MyPages.
