The Ski Classics Challengers event Zelta Klasika 50 takes place this Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Piebalga, Latvia.
Zelta Klasika 50 is a 50km long-distance race in classic technique and one of the Ski Classics Challengers events held in Latvia. Translated as Golden Classic 50, the race is staged in Piebalga, a region known for its scenic landscapes and strong skiing tradition.
The event is organized by the sports club and ski resort Zelta Krogs, located in one of Latvia’s most beautiful areas. At 240 meters above sea level, high by Latvian standards, Piebalga offers some of the deepest and longest winters in the country.
The region is also well known for its distinctive hilly terrain and rich cultural heritage.
