Toppidrettsvekan is a three-day roller-ski event close to Trondheim in Norway. Tomorrow’s long distance race, 55 km, has a great roster of top skiers as the Swedish cross-country star Frida Karlsson, Team Ragde Charge’s Marit Bjørgen and Anniken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Ramudden’s Lina Korsgren and Ida Dahl, Lager 157 Ski Team’s Britta Johansson Norgren, Team Koteng Edisson’s Astrid Øyre Slind and Team XPND Fuel of Norway’s Emilie Fleten are fighting hard against in each other.
In the men’s race, the field is as impressive, and the top World Cup skiers Johannes Høstflot Klæbo, Emil Iversen and Andrew Musgrave will face a strong cast of Visma Ski Classics athletes, among them Emil Persson, Runar Skaug Mathisen, both from Lager 157 Ski Team, Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Eksjöhus, Martin Johnsrud Sundby, Chris Jespersen, Torleif Syrstad, all three from Team Koteng Edisson, Oskar Kardin, Andreas Nygaard, Anders Aukland, Karstein Johaug, Joar Thele, Johan Hoel, all six from Team Ragde Charge, Johannes Eklöf, Max Novak, both from Team Ramudden, Vetle Thyli and Magnus Vesterheim, both from Team Kaffebryggeriet. Petter Northug has also registered for the race.
On Friday, there will be a three-kilometer uphill race in double-poling technique, and on Saturday, there is a skiatlon race (both skating and classic techniques).
