The Norwegian star skier Therese Johaug will participate in two Visma Ski Classics races next season; Birkebeinerrennet and Reistadløpet. She won Birken in 2015.
Johaug is going to represent Team Ragde Charge, and her brother Karsten is now a permanent member of the team. Marit Bjørgen is also part of the same team, and next season will unite these two famous athletes again. They both live close to Oslo and still train together whenever possible.
“Therese Johaug has her focus on the Olympics and the World Cup, but then it will be interesting to see what she can do against other long-distance skiers, for example at Birkebeinerrennet. There, she will go with grip wax while the others double-pole. She needs to have a four-five-minute gap to win," Magnar Dalen, the team director, told the Swedish News Agency TT.
