One of the most popular roller-ski events Blinkfestivalen in Norway is once again getting an impressive turnout. The event takes place from Thursday August 5 to Sunday August 8. There are many races in the festival including a 7,5 km uphill race called Lysebotn Opp where the participants have an option to either double-pole or skate up the challenging climb in separate competitions. Additionally, there is a Blink Classics Team Challenge competition on Sunday, which is a mixed relay race.
Many familiar faces from the Visma Ski Classics circuit will grace the festival with their presence including Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Astrid Øyre Slind, Lina Korsgren, Emilie Fleten, Morten Eide Pedersen, Ari Luusua, Max Novak, Laila Kveli, Anniken Gjerde Alnes and many more. Martin Johnsrud Sundy is also going to fight against the best long distance skiers in the world.
The Team Challenge race has now 16 Pro Teams registered, and they are as follows: Team Ramudden with two teams, Team Koteng/Eidissen, Team Ragde Charge with two teams, Team XPND Fuel of Norway with two teams, Team Eksjöhus, Team Engcon, Team Kaffebryggeriet, Team Næringsbanken, Team Decathlon Experience with two teams, Team Andorra/Spania and one mixed team.
