The Swedish Pro Team, Team Ramudden, consists of six Pro athletes for season XI.
“We know that we can win races and collect bibs but most important for us is that we have fun during training and racing,” says Pro Team Director Gustaf Korsgren.
Team Ramudden can look back on a very successful season X. Lina Korsgren won Vasaloppet and the Sprint competition. Max Novak and Ida Dahl both won the Youth competition.
Despite this, Pro Team Director Gustaf Korsgren says this before season XI:
“Most important for us is that we have fun during training and racing. Maybe our philosophy is different from others but I think it’s important to think like this. You have to be humble about what can happen during a season. Even if we do not succeed in all competitions, we should have fun and feel good. We win together and we lose together.
At the same time, Gustaf says this:
“We know that we can win races and collect bibs also in season XI. We know that we can win Vasaloppet both on the women and men’s side. We know that we can be the best Swedish team and beat Lager 157 Ski Team.
Gustaf is happy with the pre-season. Team Ramudden just finished their first training camp and he could see good things.
“Everybody looks really strong. I’m impressed by our young Norweigan Herman Paus. As I said before, I think he is the most promising long-distance skier from Norway.
The Pro Team had a plan to go to Mallorca for training later in the autumn. Now it will instead be a camp in Båstad, Skåne, in southern Sweden between 9-18 October.
“Mattias Reck, who coach Lina, Max and Ida, will plan the workouts in detail as he did on the last training camp,” Gustaf ends.
