Friday is a busy day during the Vasaloppet Winter Week as there are two events taking place. One of them, Stafettvasan - the relay event, is going on and the best teams have already finished their 90 km race (five skiers per team). The other exciting event later tonight is Nattvasan, the night race, which starts at 8 pm.

Stafettvasan was won by a Swedish team Flowlife followed by two Norwegian teams; Team Sentrum Sport Tysil and Right To Play, respectively. The fight for the victory was a tight one as the Swedes were six seconds faster than the Norwegian athletes.

As with all Vasaloppet events, the primary focus is on amateur skiers, and there are still many teams enjoying their relay journey from Sälen to Mora while about 1,500 two-person teams are getting ready for their night race with headlights mounted on their heads.
