March is almost over, and April is lurking around the corner. That month certainly comes with the true signs of spring as the days are being longer, the sun is shining and the snow is melting away before our very eyes. That is also the time when the nature around us wakes up, and our hearts fill up with joy and anticipation of the summer to come.
But let’s not pack our winter clothes and ski gear and take them to the attic yet. We still have two more Visma Ski Classics races left, and they are indeed filled with action. Reistadløpet in Norway comes first on April 6 followed by Ylläs-Levi on April 13. Both of those races have hard but beautiful courses presenting a real challenge for our pro skiers.
There is also time to tweak your Fantasy team and get the best possible pro skiers for your own squad and fight for the Fantasy Team Director of the Year title. Just in case you have forgotten the rules or the score table, you can check them out via this link:

Astrid Øyre Slind and Oskar Kardin have been very active in the game and their fantasy teams have been in the top since the beginning of the season. Astrid’s team leads the competition while Oskar’s gang is third. The second place is currently being held by a Finn, Mikko Saarnio and his Tourist Skiers. Norway is the strongest country when it comes to cross-country skiing in general, but Sweden is the country of fantasy. There are 17 Swedish Fantasy teams among the best 30 teams at the moment. Finland comes next with five teams and Norway has four.
The highest ranked athletes, the most expensive ones in fantasy dollars, are Andreas Nygaard and Britta Johansson Norgren. Petter Eliassen and Morten Eide Pedersen are right behind Nygaard, respectively, while Lina Korsgren and Katerina Smutná are the most valued female skiers after Johansson Norgren. Nygaard’s own fantasy team is currently placed 14th while Johansson Norgren’s team is 11th.
So, get ready for some tantalizing action next month, put your fantasy team in place and fight for glory before the summer takes over.
