The latest episode of Ski Classics Ski or Die shines a spotlight on Team Robinson Trentino, an Italian Pro Team led by former skier Bruno Debertolis. Bruno, who once competed in both Ski Classics and the World Cup, has assembled a diverse and international team. He sees this squad as a stepping stone for young Italian athletes, providing them with a unique opportunity to achieve their goals while learning from international teammates.
In this episode, Bruno reflects on his skiing career, sharing both the challenges and triumphs he experienced on the tracks. Viewers will get an intimate glimpse into his early days, hear about his greatest disappointments, and celebrate his most cherished memories. Bruno also shares his favorite spots in his hometown, and viewers can almost taste the famous Italian coffee as they soak in the atmosphere.

Bruno expresses immense pride in his team. While he acknowledges that Team Robinson Trentino may not become the greatest in Ski Classics history, he is passionate about creating a platform for athletes to develop into well-rounded professionals.
“We need to have an international team because I feel that Italian athletes need to experience different mentalities and learn about diverse approaches to training and life,” Bruno shares in the episode. “They can see how other nationalities eat, sleep, train, and even joke around. We have a lot of Scandinavian athletes because I believe the heart of cross-country skiing lies in Scandinavia. This is a fantastic opportunity for our Italian skiers to grow and become much stronger.”
For the upcoming Ski Classics Season XVI, Bruno proudly introduces a lineup of nine Pro Team athletes—four women and five men—from five different countries: Italy, the Czech Republic, Norway, the USA, and Sweden. The team includes Rosie Brennan (1988), Oda Nerdrum (1995), Tereza Hujerova (1998), Michaela Patscheider (1999), Dietmar Nockler (1988), Patrick Fossum Kristoffersen (1998), Giacomo Ponti (2003), Gustav Eriksson (1991), and Stefano Dal Magro (2000).

The episode takes viewers to the team’s fall training camp in Italy, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their roller-ski training, a grueling trail run competition, and the camaraderie that bonds the team. This international cast reveals their passion for long-distance skiing and what drives them to excel.
Balancing his work, team management, and family life is no small task, Bruno admits, but his commitment to the team remains steadfast.
“It’s not easy to manage everything, but I’m dedicated to this work and to growing with the team. My dream is to provide athletes with opportunities to develop and move on to even greater achievements,” Bruno reveals.
