The Pro Tour athlete finished third at Vasaloppet last year. This year’s fifth place in the Pink Youth bib has now signed for another Ski Classics Season.
Pro Teams continue to sign with athletes. Last was Team Eksjöhus, which has signed a new contract with Axel Jutterström for the coming season.
The 24-year-old with roots in Mora, Sweden (and IFK Mora as his ski club) had his big breakthrough last season when he finished third at Vasaloppet.
During the Ski Classics Season XIV, Jutterström finished among the top ten in three competitions. He was seventh at Engadin La Diagonela, ninth at Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge, and tenth at Marcialonga.
“I am committed to doing a new season with Team Eksjöhus. I’m looking forward to a camp this summer with the “regular” team and some new exciting people. It feels like we will have a very strong team that can push each other well in training, and we will have fun and develop a lot. I think we will have a good chance of picking up bibs and good results for the team next season,” says Jutterström in a press release.
Pro Team Director Espen Träldal about Axel continuing to be part of the team:
“We are so happy that Axel goes for Team Eksjöhus next season! Axel is a skilled skier and incredibly important for the team building that is being done and will make us the absolute top team! What a great guy,” says Träldal.
The Season XIV of Ski Classics Pro Tour consisted of 14 events on 10 event weekends in 6 different countries.
