Toblach-Cortina kicks off in Italy this weekend with a new record number of 2178 participants. The flagship event is the Saturday's 42 km classics race which is the 7th stage in Visma Ski Classics Pro Tour.
It is the 43rd edition of Toblach-Cortina and Saturday’s main event has been part of Visma Ski Classics since 5 years in which the number of participants have constantly increased. After the unfortunate cancellation of the event last year due to an enormous amount of snow and risk of avalanches, the event is celebrating this new record in 2020. The online registration has now closed, but there is still the possibility to register for the event at the race office in Toblach on Friday, 31st January.
"We are happy that Toblach-Cortina has developed so well over the past years and are proud to announce this new record number of participants. Thanks to the cooperation with Visma Ski Classics we have come a long way and can't wait to see what's still possible for the future," says Herbert Santer, President of the Organising Committee.
