The Ski Classics Challengers event, Finlandia Ski Marathon Classic, took place this Saturday with a 42km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Lahti, Finland. Check out the results.
After a day full of action, one of the Ski Classics Challengers events in Finland, Finlandia Ski Marathon Classic, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Kati Roivas, Team Eksjöhus, and Miro Karppanen, Team Edux, won their respective races with solid performances.
Finlandia Ski Marathon Classic – 42km Women’s Race
In the women’s competition, the winner was Kati Roivas, Team Eksjöhus, completing the event in a total time of 2:05:36.0.
Oona Kettunen, Team Futura GTE Trentino/AK-Pulping Oy, finished in second place, 21.0 seconds back, followed by Amanda Nyfors, Team We Tech Solutions, 11:37:0 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

Finlandia Ski Marathon Classic – 42km Men’s Race
In the men’s event, the winner, Miro Karppanen, Team Edux, completed the race in a time of 1:50:18.0.
Markus Vuorela, Jämin Jänne, finished in second place, 1.4 seconds behind, followed by Lauri Lepistö, completing the podium in third position and 1.8 seconds back.

As the Finlandia Ski Marathon 42km Classic is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
