The Ski Classics Challengers event, Bessemerloppet, took place this Sunday with a 45km long-distance classic technique race at Högbo Bruk, Sweden. Check out the results.
After a day full of action, one of the Ski Classics Challengers events in Sweden, Bessemerloppet, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Ella Olsson, Högbo GIF, and Malte Jutterdal, Falun Börlange SK, won their respective races with solid performances.
Bessemerloppet – Women’s Race
In the women’s competition, the winner was Ella Olsson, Högbo GIF, completing the event in a total time of 2:12:37.1.
Anja Stolpe, The Youth Team/Filipstads SF, finished in second place, 6.9 seconds back, followed by Madelene Nord, Bruse Sauerland Ski Team/DPONLY Ski Club, 31.3 seconds behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

Bessemerloppet – Men’s Race
In the men’s event, the winner, Malte Jutterdal, Falun Börlange SK, completed the race in a time of 1:50:41.4.
Johannes Eklöf, Ski Team Göhlins/IF Hallby SOK, finished in second place, 0.3 seconds behind, followed by Hugo Hilmersson, Göteborgs Skidklubb, completing the podium in third position and 1:32.0 back.

As the Bessemerloppet 45km classic is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
