The first weekend of the New Year is already intense with two Visma Ski Classics Challengers competitions.
Vasaloppet China is the first race of the weekend and takes place on Saturday, January 4. The event is the first Challengers in Asia, with a history of almost 20 years and one of China's most popular long-distance ski race with 50km in classic technique. The Ski Arena is located in Jingyuetan National Forest Park in the outskirts of Changchun, Jilin Province in China surrounded by great atmosphere and an outstanding snow sculpture park.
Next day, on Sunday, January 5, takes place the traditional Craft Ski Marathon in Sweden. The race is for many Swedish recreational skiers the kick-off for the race season. The course is 21km over 2 laps making a total of 42km in classic technique. The start and finish are at the Grönklitt ski metropolis just 10km away from Mora, famous for the finish of Vasaloppet.
Vasaloppet China and Craft Ski Marathon are open for recreational and Pro Team skiers alike, and results will be available at Visma Ski Classics Livecenter - vismaskiclassics.com/livecenter/
