The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Bessemerloppet, took place today with a 50km race in classic technique in Högbo Bruk, Sweden.
At the end of the day, the Visma Ski Classics Challengers event saw Mathilda Ruus, Åsarna IK, and Andreas Svensson, Ulricehamns IF, win the race with great performances.
In the women’s race, Mathilda Ruus, Åsarna IK, won with a time of 2:23:36.0, 1 minute and 15 seconds ahead of Jenny Edin, Matfors SK, in second place. Hanna Höij, Axa SC, completed the podium in the third position.
In the men’s competition, the winner was Andreas Svensson, Ulricehamns IF, with a time of 1:55:29.0, followed by Joel Andersson, IFK Mora SK, 38 seconds behind, and the Pro Tour skier Pontus Nordström, Exsitec SkiTeam/Östervåla IF, in the third position.
As Bessemerloppet is a Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
