The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Åsarna Ski Marathon took place today with a 40km long-distance race in classic technique in Åsarna, Sweden.
At the end of the day, Åsarna Ski Marathon saw Märta Rosenberg, Duveds IF, and Pro Tour skier Nils Persson, Team Engcon/ÖSK, win the race with outstanding performances.
In the women’s race, Märta Rosenberg, Duveds IF, was 3 minutes and 39 seconds in front of second place and Pro Tour skier Frida Hallquist, Exsitec Ski Team/Åsarna IK, with Emma Jönsson, Östersund SK, almost 12 minutes behind in third place.
Nils Persson, Team Engcon/ÖSK, was the fastest today in the men’s competition. Axel Ekström, IFK Mora SK, followed 1.7 seconds behind in second place, and Pro Tour skier Filip Rosjö, Ski Team Göhlins/IF Hallby SOK, 7.1 seconds back in the third position.
As Åsarna Ski Marathon is a Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
