Today, Sunday, January 28, the Ski Classics Pro Tour continues with the Marcialonga in Italy. The event marks the seventh Ski Classics stage and the first Grand Classics Season XV. On SC Play, you can watch the event live from 7:50 CET, with Teemu Virtanen as a host and Petter Eliassen as an expert commentator.
It will be the Ski Classics Legend Petter Eliassen, together with host Teemu Virtanen, who (in English) lead the viewers through today’s broadcast on SC Play.

Petter Eliassen
Petter Eliassen is a familiar name in the world of Ski Classics. From 2015, the Norwegian skier started in 50 Pro Tour and 2 Challengers events. Eliassen’s name is carved in the Ski Classics Hall of Fame with 13 wins. His first victory was at König Ludwig Lauf in 2015, and his last was at Vasaloppet in 2020.
In 2019, Eliassen was in the lead and won Marcialonga. This weekend, Petter Eliassen is the expert commentator for SC Play on the season’s first Grand Classics event.
Petter Eliassen went to the World Championships for Norway in 2011 and 2013, but it was after that, that he took a step over to Ski Classics, and the big victories started to come.
Already in his first season with a full long-distance focus, he won four Ski Classics events, including Vasaloppet and Birkebeinerrennet.
Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XV
The Season XV of Ski Classics Pro Tour consists of 15 events on 11 event weekends in 6 different countries. The season started in Bad Gastein, Austria, on December 9, 2023, and will end in Norway with the 100km Ski Classics Grand Finale Janteloppet on April 13, 2024.
Next up is Marcialonga in Italy on January 28, 2024. The event marks the seventh Ski Classics Pro Tour stage and the first Grand Classics event of Season XV.
