Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, and Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, can look back on a fantastic season where they dominated the Pro Tour Season XI.
Korsgren wins the yellow Champion bib, Visma Alp Trophy, Visma Nordic Trophy, the green Sprint bib, the squared patterned Climb bib. Team Ramudden also win the Pro team competition.
Persson wins the yellow Champion bib, Visma Alp Trophy, Visma Nordic Trophy, the pink Youth bib, and the green Sprint bib.
Both Korsgren and Persson also became Visma Ski Classics Legends during the season and stepping into the exclusive group of athlete’s with more than five event victories, Visma Ski Classics Hall of Fame.
The two Swedish athletes have both shown fantastic stability and an impressively high level throughout the season.
33-year-old Lina Korsgren’s season is outstanding, with victories in six of the season’s eight events. Lina started with second place at Engadin La Diagonela, then followed four straight victories at Toblach-Cortina, Marcialonga, Jizerská 50, Vasaloppet. After the third place at Vålådalsrennet, she finished the season by winning both Tåssåsen Criterium 64 and Årefjällsloppet.
In the Champion competition, Korsgren won with 1820 points ahead of Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, with 1330. In Visma Alp Trophy Korsgren won with 670 points ahead of Emilie Fleten, Team Koteng, with 550. She won Visma Nordic Trophy with 850 points ahead of Emilie Fleten, with 615.
In the Sprint competition Korsgren won with 289 points ahead of Ida Dahl with 239. In the Climb competition she won with 194 points ahead of Emilie Fleten with 134.
In addition, Team Ramudden won the Pro Team competition with 1540 points ahead of Lager 157 Ski Team in second place with 1440 points and Team Ragde Eiendom in third with 1160 points.
It was the first time the victory in the Pro Team competition didn’t go to a Norwegian Pro Team.
The road to the overall victory for Emil Persson, the first Swedish male winner, has gone through four event victories: Marcialonga, Jizerská 50, Vålådalsrennet and Tåssåsen Criterium 64. The other placements are: Engadin La Diagonela (5), Toblach-Cortina (3), Vasaloppet (4) and Årefjällsloppet (5).
In the Champion competition, Persson won with 1540 points ahead of Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel of Norway, with 1302 points. Persson won Visma Alp Trophy with 570 points ahead of Oskar Kardin, Team Ragde Eiendom with 520 points. He won Visma Nordic Trophy with 670 points ahead of Tord Asle Gjerdalen with 612 points.
In the Youth competition, Persson won with 1540 points ahead of Johannes Eklöf, Team Ramudden, with 583. Persson won the Sprint competition with 342 points ahead of Maxim Vylegshanin, Russian Winter Team, with 264 points.
