The Ski Classics Challengers event, Arctic Alta Skimarathon, took place this Saturday with a 46km long-distance skiing race in freestyle technique in Alta, Norway. Check out the results.
After a day of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Norway, Arctic Alta Skimarathon, saw a solid battle for the podium places. Henrik Arntzen Joks, Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso, and Amanda Darell, Hammerfest SK, won their respective races with strong performances.
Arctic Alta Skimarathon – 46km Men’s Race
In the men’s competition, the winner was Henrik Arntzen Joks, Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso, with a total time of 2:10:08.0.
Håkon Abrahamsen Nilsen, Snefjord IL, finished in second place, 24.0 seconds back, followed by Aslak Ole Rognerud Eira, Tromsøstudentenes Idrettslag/Skuohtanjarga, 1:01.0 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

Arctic Alta Skimarathon – 46km Women’s Race
In the women’s event, the winner, Amanda Darell, Hammerfest SK, completed the race in a time of 2:48:52.0.
Anne Strand Bjørnstad, Tverrelvdalen IL, finished in second place, 1:58.0 behind, followed by Kristin Østberg Moan, Sørkedalens IF, completing the podium in third position and 10:32.0 back.

As the Arctic Alta Skimarathon 46km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
