Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 1, a Ski Classics Challengers event, took place today with a 60km long-distance race in freestyle technique in Olos, Finland. Get to know the winners.
After a long day of action on Stage 1, the Ski Classics Challengers event saw the siblings Iivo and Kerttu Niskanen, Lapland Hotels Olos, win the race with their usual outstanding performances.
Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 1 – Men’s Race
In the men’s competition, stage 1, the winner was Iivo Niskanen, Lapland Hotels Olos, with a time of 2:27:19.8.
Remi Lindholm, Dæhlie – Nordic Teamwear Pro Team, finished in second place, with a total time of 2:27:27.5, followed by Thomas Bing, xc-ski.de A|N Skimarathon Team, completing the podium in third position and a total time of 2:27:38.9.

Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 1 – Women’s Race
In the women’s race, Kerttu Niskanen, Lapland Hotels Olos, with a time of 2:41:17.8, won ahead of Eveliina Piippo, Dæhlie – Nordic Teamwear Pro Team, in second place and a time of 2:41:48.4.
Third place went to Krista Pärmäkoski with a total time of 2:42:40.2.
