The Ski Classics Challengers event, Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet, took place this Saturday with a 45km long-distance skiing race in classic technique at Kvam, Norway. Check out the results.
After a day full of action, one of the Ski Classics Challengers events in Norway, Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Haakon Holden, Team Kaffebryggeriet DRIV/Bjerke IL Ski, and Maren Engeskaug Nielsen, Team Burger King Northug/Hamar SK, won their respective races with solid performances.
Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet – 45km Men’s Race
In the men’s event, the winner, Haakon Holden, Team Kaffebryggeriet DRIV/Bjerke IL Ski, completed the race in a time of 1:57:52.0.
Edvard Hamilton, Sør-Fron IL, finished in second place, 28.0 seconds behind, followed by Vinjar Skogsholm, Næroset IL, who completed the podium in third position, 30.0 seconds back.

Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet – 45km Women’s Race
In the women’s competition, the winner was Maren Engeskaug Nielsen, Team Burger King Northug/Hamar SK, completing the event in a total time of 2:18:24.0.
Ragnhild Haukåen, Ringebu/Fåvang SK, finished in second place, 7:08.0 back, followed by Trude Nonstad Fornes, Ranheim SK/Bane NOR BIL, 8:08:0 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.
