The Ski Classics Challengers event Totenrullen, a 60km long-distance race in classic technique, took place today with a strong starting field in Raufoss, Norway.
Many Ski Classics Pro Team athletes and World Cup skiers matched their skills in a tough race. After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event saw Håvard Solås Taugbøl, Lillehammer Skiklub, and Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, win the race with strong performances.
In the men’s competition, the winner was Håvard Solås Taugbøl, Lillehammer Skiklub, with a total time of 2:24:25. Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, finished in second place, 4.6 seconds behind, followed by Johannes Eklöf, Team Ramudden, 5.1 seconds back and completing the podium in the third position.
In the women’s race, Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, with a time of 2:32:57, won ahead of Elena Rise Johnsen, Asker Skiklubb/Team Norconsult, in second place 8:37.6 back. Barbro Sætha, Team Næringsbanken, 10:27.0 behind, finished in third place.
As Totenrullen is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
