Ski Classics is now in its Season XIV. There are many legendary race winners whose achievements in Marcialonga, Jizerská50, Vasaloppet, Birkebeinerrennet, and many other events are still fresh in our memories. Get to know our Legends!
Long-distance skiing as a race format has existed for decades. Still, to become a Legend, a Pro Tour athlete must win at least five individual Ski Classics events, with the races before the first season in 2011 also counting for the athletes that have been taking part in Ski Classics.
But who is the number one Legend? This question shouldn’t take too long to be answered as it is pretty apparent: Britta Johansson Norgren. She has had 25 victories during her prosperous career.
Johansson Norgren is followed by three other Legends: Anders Aukland, Seraina Boner, and Andreas Nygaard. Aukland has 16 wins, Boner and Nygaard are tied with 15 wins each.
At the moment, were inducted into the Ski Classics Hall of Fame 20 skiers, ranging from 25 victories – Britta Johansson Norgren, to 5 wins – Daniel Tynell, Sandra Hansson, and John Kristian Dahl.

Ski Classics Hall of Fame
Ski Classics Season XIV started with Pro Tour events in December at Bad Gastein, Austria, and Val Venosta, Italy. Emil Persson and Ida Dahl grabbed the win on both individual events and added to their Legend records. Now that the following events are just around the corner, who are the active Legends that can add victories to their track record?
The upcoming Ski Classics Pro Tour event is Pustertaler Ski Marathon, a 62km classic technique event in Italy on January 14, followed by Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge, a 30km race also in Italy on January 15, 2023.
