Ski Classics World Championship introduces new race - well-known as Tjejvasan.
First held in Sweden in 1988, this 30km all-female race has grown into the world's biggest ski race exclusively for women, and on February 27, 2027, it takes its place on the biggest stage of all.
Having been part of the Ski Classics Challengers series since 2019, Tjejvasan now makes its long-awaited step up to the Ski Classics World Championship, a milestone that reflects both the race's prestige and the growing prominence of women's long-distance skiing.
Sharing the iconic Vasaloppet route from Oxberg to Mora, and proudly part of Vasaloppet's Winter Week, Tjejvasan brings with it decades of history, passion, and tradition — now elevated to a world championship stage.
Oxberg - Mora Sprint Women represents the second Sprint event of Season XVIII: a mass start race on a short, flat course where both Champion and Sprint Competition points are up for grabs at the finish line.
